We are very pleased to announce the publication of a new BMS Tool for Clinicians – Use of incretin-based therapies in women using hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
This new Tool for Clinicians is an important addition to the suite of BMS resources that are designed to support healthcare professionals in the management of women’s health. It will provide:
- background information about obesity and diabetes, the primary disease indications for incretin-based therapies;
- indications for the use of incretin-based therapies;
- considerations when prescribing incretin-based therapies in women using HRT during the menopause transition and postmenopause; and
- general guidance for clinical practice.
We would like to offer our thanks to Professor Annice Mukherjee, Professor Sadaf Ghaem-Maghami and Professor Akheel Syed who developed this document, in collaboration with the BMS medical advisory council.
