My wife went to the Dr today and they found uterine fibroids, it is as large as an orange and is attached to her uterine wall. She has been suffering every month with severe cramps and heavy bleeding. It upsets me to see her in this pain and now that we know the cause, she just wants to have a complete hystorectomy and be done with it. She is 47 and disabled with no insurance. Surely there is someone or some facility that can help her. Please send any available information ASAP. I hate to see her worry and fret over this and only want to get her the relief she deserves, She does so much for others and I want to find her the help she needs. Thank you for listening, Mike

My sister in law had the same problem. Lucky for her, her doctor was on the board at the hospital and they found a way to have her operation done almost for free. I would suggest contacting hospitals about financial assistance, most of them have some way of helping out when a patient can't afford something that is necessary. There are also agencies in every state that can help. You just need to do some research, try calling a planned parenthood, they might be able to direct you to a facility that is free or on a sliding scale.
