I'm only 38 and am having a hysterectomy in 2 weeks time because of serious health problems.I've been over everything with my consultant but would like to know from women who have had one what can I expect afterwards.Thank youI had surgery in October to try to sort out the problems, I had my left ovary removed, and a few other things, now this is the only option left as I am still having problems.What will happen regarding the menopause?I have to have the remaining ovary removed as it is full of cysts. When I had my op in October the surgeon looked at both ovaries and this one was completely healthy then, in just 6 months it is full of cysts and has to come out like the other one I had removed in October

I had one a few years back... you will be fine it takes about 2-3 weeks before you will be walking normal.. I walked around like I had a pickle up my butt everyone is differentI did not need to take any pain killers after I left the hospitalYou will need to take it easy also NO HOUSEWORK for at least 6 weeks.. no Heavy lifting eithergood luck & speedy recovery
