Default Hysterectomy with out insurance?

HEAVY periods run in my family. My two older sisters have had hysterectomies due to them.. I have no insurance, so I can't afford to get one.. My doc. put my on Sprintec 28 bc pills, to see if that will help.. I have heard that a person can apply for some kind of grant to get the hysterectomy done for free or a lesser amount, and I'm wondering if that is true, incase the pills don't work..
