it is very normal to not have a period after 3 months, they say that the shot lasts for ONLY 3 months but thats not always the case...thats why they say that if you plan to have kids within 12 months..the shot is not recommended,...because it takes longer for it to leave your system, with me personally, it taken me 7-8 months with both of my kids to actually have a period again!..so its completely normal!

My wife took this shot for 15 months (5X) after our first baby. When we decided we wanted another she stopped taking the shots. She didn't have a period for the next three or four months. And she never got pregnant either. I finally made her go to the doctor. He said that the shot makes you stop producing eggs. Therefore your body doesn't need to have a period to get rid of whatever it is that women get rid of during their periods. Anyway, he gave her a prescription that made her start producing eggs again. She said her first period was real heavy. Then her next was closer to normal. Then she got pregnant again finally. You should ask your doctor for the prescription to restart your ovaries.

My Friend, my wife has endo and I will tell you that our experience has been that nothing is normal with her cycle.... We have two kids, trying to have a third and after each one her cycle was different. Meaning time between, how heavy the flow, all that stuff. Before the kids though we had some birth control things to keep the cycle to minimum. After each ones life cycle her body reacted differently. The jest; I think that with endo (which we have done great research on, both of us have our masters degrees) that nothing is normal. That is what I am trying to say. God bless you, I hope that you have a good support group and it isn't treating you to badly... My wife's endo kinda went into submission after the first kid but the second kid it seems we have become more symptomatic.... Whatever, its a terrible flaw in genetic composition... GODSPEED!

I don't have Endo, but I was on the shot for about 1 year and then I did not get a period until about 8 months after and when I did the first time it was very light and then the next month I didn't have a period and then I got pregnant. After my son was born, again I didn't have a period for about 1 year after. I blame it on the Depo shot. I would be very careful if were you. Because my doctor says that it is very Dangerous to go for more than 3 months without a period because it increases the risk of ovarian cancer. I may also be PCOS (Polysistic Ovarian Syndrome). What ever it may be, your doctor needs to know, so that he/she can help you. Maybe, you need to stabilize your periods before you can think about getting pregnant.
