I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow, but I'm just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this. I've had a lump on the left side of my...vagina I guess? I'm not really sure how to describe it. Sometimes it appears bigger than other times. It doesn't really hurt, but sometimes it feels like a painful tickle. It is very uncomfortable when I cough or sneeze, like I can feel it move...I can also push it in. Anyway, when I'm on my period, I have very bad stomach and back pain with a heavy flow. I've heard these are the symptoms of endometriosis, and my sister has it...I've also heard it can run in the family. One of my friends had a lump in a similar area and found out it was endometriosis and had to have it removed. Like I said, I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but I'm so nervous and I'm just curious to know if anyone else thinks this may be endometriosis. If it is, will I be able to have kids some day? I'm only 18 and not ready to have kids now, but would like to eventually. Thanks!

Hard to say from here without a definitive diagnosis. Edometriosis comes in all kinds of forms with a plethora of different symptoms. I had no symptoms what-so-ever. Mine was in the culdesac between my bladder and my uterus. I had it lasered during surgery but it does usually come back. I was told to try to get pregnant right away but was unable to. Fortunately, 10 years later I conceived my youngest daughter. What a surprise!
