I have had endometriosis since i was 25. (im 37 now) I have had 2 laproscopy's, and was even on depro-Lupron to stop my period, which usually helps destroy, for lack of a better word, an endo. that is left.
I gained 20 lbs, during this time, which i really needed because i'm about 20lbs underweight. When i started my period about a yr later , the weight came off inside 3 months and I am back down to 105. I am 5'6".
I know the endo. is back because of the symptoms.
Has anyone ever noticed if endo. has caused them to lose weight? Or , do hormones control metabolism?

I didn't gain or lose. It messes with your hormones so that can make you do either one. The only thing I've noticed is retaining water because of the pain meds.

(I think it took me about 5 or 6 months to start my period after I stopped the Lupron and it put me in the emergency room because I hurt so bad.)

I to suffer from endo and have your years. When I was sixteen I was 5'6" and weighted 125, when I suddenly drop 25 pounds within a couple of months for no reason at all. It took me 8 years to gain 30 pounds when all of a sudden I dropped the thirty pounds within 6 weeks for no reason at all. The doctor started ordering all kinds of test. One test led to another and they finally did a lap, because they were starting to suspect endo.That's how they ended up finding my endo, and I have always believed that endo is what caused my sudden weight losses, since I easily gained and maintained the weight after starting treatment.
