...endometriosis. Any words of advice? About four years ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis with ovarian cysts. The pain that I deal with on a daily basis has become intolerable. I have been through surgery (where more then half of my left ovary was removed.) I've also been on a drug called Lupron (which made me menopausal for nearly 6 months and to be honest was pure hell!). This condition has effected my life in so many ways. Work, relationship, social life....it's all suffering because of this!
I'm also worried about having children. I'll be turning 30 this year and I feel like time is running out for me. I'm in a relationship with a man who just does not understand my condition and does not want children now.
I feel so lost as far as solution for pain, nothing seems to work.
Now I'm being faced with posibly having another surgery because the ovarian cysts have doveloped again.
I feel confused and alone. No one seems to understand what I'm going through.
Please if you have any words of wisdome I'm all ears!

I won't begin to say I understand the pain you are going through, because as a man it's not possible. My recommendation, ask your doctor about removing your ovaries, I know the child bearing issue. Have several of your eggs harvested and frozen. IF you and your man decide to have children in the future, they can still be fertilized and implanted into your uterus. Good luck!
