Default Have any women with endometriosis had the laprascopy and?

the endo tissue removed, and then several months later
had the pain return. I just seen my doctor and she said it's
not possible, but I have the same pain again. She said I
may have irritable bowl syndrome. I don't beleive that and I
know pain can occur from adhesions also. Is anyone living
my nightmare. I am constantly researching this and trying to
get as much info as possible, cause I have to beleive that
I can do something to help myself. I'm thinking of seeing
another doctor cause she is not that experienced and she
refused to beleive I even had endo before I had the operation.
Also I had an iud put inside my uterus, this is suppsed to help
shrink the endo tissue, but I have also heard alot of negative
things about that. Since there is no cure, what releif can I
really expect from an iud. My pain is not constant, but when
I get it, well there is nothing I can compare it to, I just pray
out loud for god to take the pain away.
Thank you in advance.

I think you need to see another doctor....I have endo between bladder & bowel which was found 13yrs ago. They have recently found it on my right ovary ( i had my left ovary removed 14 yrs ago due to a tortured cyst). Doctors can seem very unsympathetic because they still don't know alot about it & some symptoms are similar to IBS. But it CAN return after surgery, even after a hysterectomy. I too had a Mirena coil fitted 7 wks ago which i am struggling with. It was VERY painful to have fitted, i had cramps for 3 wks after, i have bled for the whole of the 7 wks & the pain & digestive problems that i get during ovulation & periods with the endo has lasted for the whole 7 wks also. They tell me this will die down & you have to give it at least 6 mths to tell if it is going to be helpful. All of the treatments for endo have side effects though. I take Mefenamic acid & 30/500 co-codamol for the pain but alot of the time this just takes the edge off of the pain it doesn't take it away completely. Good luck.
