I've been trying to find info on what to eat in pregnancy and its so confusing the advice seems to change all the time. I wanted to recommend a site eatingforpregnancy.org.uk I have found that gives really clear advice, just on what to eat when you're pregnant. I am pregnant with my second child and still find all the information on what to eat and not eat really confusing so this really helped ! Though it might be of use to other mum's out there
To eat well during pregnancy you must do more than simply increase how much you eat. There's lots of foods and herbs that are supposed to help. Pineapple, basil, oregano, onions and garlic, and red raspberry leaf tea all have reputations of helping bring on labor. Usually, they bring on labor only if the women eats a lot of them when she's pretty much all ready to deliver. Because of that, they might help to speed things up once if you're already in labor.
The red raspberry leaf tea is recommended for helping tone your uterus and make labor and delivery easier and less painful, so many women drink it through their pregnancies or during the last trimester or two. Taking a very strong infusion once you've started labor is supposed to speed things up considerably as well as tone down the pain. The recipe for the strong infusion is an ounce of tea leaves steeped in a pint of water for 30 minutes.
you can eat breads, cereals, rice, potatoes, pasta, fruits, vegetables, milk, cheese, yogurt, sardines or salmon with bones, spinach, carrots, dark leafy greens, and sweet potatoes.
And Make Sure you are taking a Prenatal Supplement. Ideally we could get all the vitamins we need from foods but that just doesn't happen with our busy lives.
