I am not Christian, and I am very skeptical about this vaccine. If I had young girls I would not be in favor of them getting the vaccine.
It is too new to know for sure what the long term effects are.
It has also been, so-called, proven to prevent only 4 of the many different types of cervical cancer. So it would not be something I would choose for my children if I had any.
I also am very much against making it mandatory for all young women to have this vaccine.
I know that it is painful (my sister's daughters have started the injections), you need to have 3 injections for the full effect of the vaccine, and they are expensive and not covered by most insurances.
Having said all of that, I do believe that it should be made available and should be covered by insurance, to any young woman who chooses to have it.
