If they did a biopsy and found no cancer cells, you should be fine. Usually they advise going back for a repeat pap test in 3-6 months just to be sure everything is OK. You should check with your local Department of Human Services. Many states offer free or reduced fee exams for women's health. My mother had cervical cancer right after my sister was born. The doctor told her if she wanted a third child she should become pregnant right away and that once the baby was delivered they would have to do a hysterectomy. My mother was satisfied with just two daughters so she chose to have the surgery right away. If the doctors told her she could get pregnant right away and she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer, I don't think you would have any problem getting pregnant just because of an abnormal pap test 2 years ago. You really need to get back to a gynecologist though. If you are considering becoming pregnant, you want to make sure you are healthy enough to carry, deliver, and raise a baby.
