PCOS and the side effects?

I am 19 and I have pcos. It is very depressing. I have acne, the abnormal hair growth, the weight gain, the thinning hair and every other thing that comes along with it. I was just wondering have any of you women experienced these symptoms and how you dealt with them.

I am taking metformin and just started about 1 week ago. Are there any other meds I should ask my ob/gyn about? Thanks
