So my husband and I have been together since I was 15, we got married 6 months ago and I found out I had slight signs of PCOS. We are thinking of having kids soon and I am worried about my health.

I'm on no medication right now. I do take birth control. I have gained 20lbs over the past 3 years I noticed, but nothing drastic. I had minimal hair loss - for about 6 months in 2006, it has stopped happening in the last 6 months.I have higher cholestrol and light brown rings and spost around my neck and under my arms.

I've been to 4 OBGYN's who took ultrasounds and saw the sists on my ovaries and jumped to the conclusion it is PCOS... but no definate medication was even given because they said it was a slight case.

We are now thinking of having kids and all of my symptons and pains stopped... except I can not produce a period without taking birth contol and I still have the browning on my neck and under arms. I am also having trouble losing the 20lbs I gained.
Any help?
We want to have kids in a few years, but I am worried since I don't know what is wrong with me and if I am fertile or not. Especially since I only get a period if I take birth control. Is there a test for that?

I am also 4'11 real short and worried I can't carry.

Any suggestions on what you think I may have would help.. or any way to get rid of this ugly bown spots and neck line would be great... my skin doctor said she has no clue what to do.

You are worrying too much. I have pcos and have a beautiful 11 month daughter. I don't think your height matters on if you can carry a baby. I am on metformin to regulate my cycle and it works! Weight loss helps pcos go into remission. I don't know about the brown spots. Plus pcos does not cause hair loss it cause hair growth usually on the chin. If your cholesterol is high you need to change your diet and eat more healthy foods like whole grains,fruits and veggies. Good luck!
