i then just took meteformin for a couple of years but it made me sick all the time. i decided to take a break from med so now i am just trying naturally but i have been on my period for about six months. i will usually stop for a month and then start again for another six months or so. i don't know what to do about this i have asked my doctor and the just give me some hormone type pill for a week and i have a very heavy period for a while then i start spotting but it doesn't really ever go away. i want to get pregnant so bad but i am so tired of all the drugs and tempature taking and doctor appiontments that i just can't do it anymore. my husband doesn't seem to understand this. i want to adopt but he wants me to continue with the meds and stuff. this is causing a problem in our marriage and i just don't know what to do. we both want kids so bad but he just doesn't understand how i feel about all the procedures and the stress cause he doesn't have to do them.

I also have PCOS and took Clomid and Metformin with no luck. I know the pain of having to take temps, chart, and figure out what it all means. Plus, the joys of peeing on a little stick...(

I discovered early on that family doctors and obgyns do NOT have the expertise to deal with fertility issues. This goes for PCOS too.

We found a fertility doctor who had handled PCOS patients. Both hubby and I got full work ups so we knew what the situation was. Turns out we both had mild feritlity issues.

What eneded up working for me was Gonal F, Pergonyl and Progesterone. My son is now 15 months old, and once the stress of convceiving was gone we did it on our own. LOL. And, in three weeks we'll have another baby...

I'd recommend trying OvaCue by Zetec. It's like charting on its all electronic. You just put it in your mouth and it tells you what's going on. It's $300 but a LOT cheaper than fertilty treatments! Check out their testamonials.
