Clomid and PCOS?

I have a 6 year old son and have been trying to get pregnant for the last 4 years. I get a period every 4 to 6 months. I recently went to the Dr. and he told me to take Clomid so that I can ovulate and I will get pregnant right away.

Anyone with this same situation? Any advise? Please!!!!
