I have had PCOS since I was about 16 but was just recently diagnosed. My husband and I are TTC, I am taking prometrium to increase fertility and regulate ovulation. Has anyone else been through this and actually conceived?
I took for a different drug (cant remember what its called, I know it was typically prescribed for endomytriosis) for 5 days and about 3-5 days after I finished I got my period. She then told me on day 15 of my cycle to start taking the prometrium until day 26 and on day 27 to take a pregnancy test.

I have PCOS...the really rare type... I'm skinny, not diabetic (thank goodness), and I don't ever get a period... no ovulation what so ever. I've had to go through 2 IVF's before conveiving my first... and then several more treatments before getting pregnant this time. PCOS has many treatments, and for normal PCOers gets better after pregnancy. There is a drug called metformin, which is used for diabetics, which has been proven to cause ovulation. It even worked on me a few times... Good luck, and if you see you are having problems, call a fertility expert.

I have PCOS also but I have not tried to get pregnant. My aunt also has PCOS and has a child, some pople don't have any trouble at all.
