Default PLS HELP, when will i get my period????

im 21 and last month i didnt get my period and every other time i got it, for the past 3 months or so it was always atleast 35 days late. so i went to the gynaec and got a hormone test done and also an ultrasound to see if my ovaries were okay. the ultrasound seemed fine and i was worried about PCOS but the doc said that the ovaries seem okay but there is a hormonal imbalance. she gave me a progesterone injection and said that i would get my period and then prescribed me some medicine and asked me to take it on the 5th day of mentruation. but i still havnt got my period and its been 3 days since i got the progesterone injection and im beginning to get worried. should i go back to the gynaec ? how long does it take for the injection to take effect? if someone could help me out and answer my qs please im getting really worried
