I have had PCOS since i was 16. I am now ttc #1. I am going to the doctor next week and I was thinking about asking about Metformin and Clomid combination. Are there any success stories out there? If so how long did it take to conceive. I am so excited about going to the doctor but before I go I would like to know how long it takes and if the combo really works. Thanks in advance

i too was diagnosed at 16, i went to the doctors around september time as we are ttc, the doctor wont prescribe anything they refer you to the hospital, i had lots of blood tests at different stages of my cycle, had an internal scan of my ovaries and also dye injected to make sure they wernt blocked, and also my partner had to give a sample which didnt please him very much lol. just before christmas i went back to the hospital for all he results and everything was fine just the pcos still there, so i was prescribed clomid which i have started on tuesday and am so excited!! so when you go to the docs id expect it to be a good 3 months before the gynea will give you the medication, as you have to go through the other tests to rule everything else out first., i wish you luck x
