Is there a proven link between HIV / ARV and osteoporosis? I'm a 42 years old man,...

...it makes no sense to me. I have rather serious osteoposrosis. I'm under ARV treatment. Some of my doctors mentioned rumours about a possible link as mentioned above, but is there any serious study performed on this matter?
