My wife, who used to take Fosamax, is now taking strontium for her osteoporosis. She had horrible side effects after only six months on Fosamax, which included nausea, dizziness, chest pain, and malaise.

She is taking Drs. Best Strontium Bone Maker (strontium citrate), two 340 (as strontium) mg caps per day. She is also taking 1500 mg calcium, 500 mg magnesium, 1000 IU Vitamin D, as well as complete multivitamin/mineral supplemenation.

The best bet is to go talk to the doctor and explain the side effects. The doc may be able to give her new meds to make less symptoms. Good luck!!!
